Submit to Exposome
How to submit a manuscript to Exposome. For full editorial and preparation guidance, see the Guide for authors.
Before you submit
Work through the pre-submission checklist in the sidebar. Ensure the manuscript is anonymised for blind review, figures are at 300 dpi or vector, every author has an ORCID, and data/code DOIs are ready where applicable. Full preparation details are in the Guide for authors.
Submit via the portal
Submissions are accepted through the journal's submission portal. Email submissions@exposomejournal.com for a portal invitation while access is being finalised.
What happens next
- Initial screening (within a week). Editor checks scope and completeness.
- Peer review — at least two independent reviewers; single-blind by default. Average time to first decision: 6 weeks.
- Revision — reviewer comments returned with handling editor's decision. Typical revision window: 2–4 weeks.
- Acceptance and production — license selected, DOI assigned, article published open access.

Article types at a glance
- Research Article — 4,000–7,000 words. Up to 8 figures/tables.
- Review — up to 10,000 words.
- Commentary — 1,500–3,000 words.
- Editorial — by invitation.
- Letter to the Editor — up to 1,000 words.

Open access
Exposome is fully open access. Accepted articles are published under a Creative Commons license selected at acceptance. Authors retain copyright. Specific license terms appear on each article page.
