Aims & Scope

Exposome publishes peer-reviewed research on the totality of environmental exposures — chemical, physical, biological, and psychosocial — that shape human biology across the life course. The journal covers original empirical work, comprehensive reviews, and commentary across environmental health, chemical exposomics, high-resolution mass spectrometry, biomarker discovery, population-scale epidemiology, and the computational methods required to connect them.

Article types include research articles, reviews, commentary, editorials, and letters to the editor. Methodological rigor and reproducibility are weighted as heavily as originality.

Publisher note. Self-published from Volume 7 (2026) onward. Historical volumes 1–6 (2021–2026) were published by Oxford University Press and remain accessible via their original DOI.
